Hello Water Polo Friends,

I know it has been awhile since you've heard from me. It's been a busy summer/fall season! I'm writing today to ask for your help on Tuesday, November 7th. There is a proposition being put forth that takes us much closer to getting Water Polo in Katy ISD. If you'll remember, their reasoning for not wanting to allow water polo were: 

• Money Concerns: A couple of pools in need of repair combined with a bloated budget created by people who likely have never played water polo
• Optics Concerns: The optics of starting a new sport in a year where they weren't able to provide teachers a raise. We have spoken with several teachers and they felt they became scapegoats. 

In any case, if you are zoned to Katy ISD, vote YES for Katy ISD bond Proposition C this Tuesday. This proposition is for $4M and is solely devoted to existing natatorium component replacements. There are no other items being proposed under Proposition C. If the natatoriums are brought up to speed on all repairs, it takes one of the bigger excuses away from the district. The Community Bond Advisory Committee (CBAC)stated that this is a ZERO tax rate increase bond package.
