The Kyrene School District put Kyrene de las Manitas on its proposed closure plan. Closing Manitas is NOT the answer and here’s why:

• Location. Manitas borders Chandler, Tempe, & Ahwatukee. It’s the closest Kyrene school east of I-10.
  
  
• Hands-On Learning. Manitas is the ONLY elementary school in Kyrene to offer 4-H, promoting youth leadership and growth through experiential learning.
  
  
• Capacity. Manitas has more capacity compared to other schools slated to remain open, space that can accommodate displaced students from surrounding Kyrene schools.
  
  
• Taxpayer Investments. The district made significant investments in Manitas, including roof and technology upgrades. Closing the school would negate these investments.

Act NOW to save Manitas:
