Hi everyone,

In my last correspondence to Subaru and Toyota (my third attempt to have them communicate with me), I advised them that I would wait a further 14 days to acknowledge the issue, and show they are willing to work with owners of Solterra's and BZ4X's to address the issue. Today is day 14 and still no response. I am sending the following email, but I think at this point the only way to address this issue will be legal action.

If anyone has any recommendations of who else should be emailed within both companies, please do let me know!

                      ***************

Dear Mr. Sato, Mr. Ogawa, Mr. Walters, Ms. Rheem, Ms. Elkington, and Mr. Infante,

I am writing again to follow up on my previous correspondences. It has been 14 days since my last email, and despite our earnest attempts at initiating dialogue, there remains a disheartening silence from both Subaru and Toyota on the issues faced by Solterra and BZ4X owners.

During this period, a petition was launched and has already received an overwhelming response, amassing 573 signatures in 14 days, at the time of this writing. Significantly, these signatories are primarily owners from two Facebook groups and a Solterra forum. This rapid and substantial response underscores the depth of frustration among your customer base, suggesting that the concerns raised are just the tip of the iceberg.

What makes this situation particularly disheartening is the lack of acknowledgement from your end. Updates to the 2024 models of these vehicles seem to address many of the issues we have raised, yet there is no indication of any remedial action or support for current owners of the affected vehicles. This silence and apparent indifference towards a loyal customer base is not only disappointing but also damaging to the reputation of your esteemed companies.

In light of these developments, it is disconcerting to feel that Subaru and Toyota are choosing not to communicate or collaborate with their customers. It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that without a meaningful response and engagement from your side, we feel compelled to consider further actions. This includes potential legal avenues, which we are reluctant but prepared to pursue.

However, I would like to reiterate that our primary aim is not confrontation but resolution. We remain hopeful for an opportunity to engage in a constructive dialogue. If Subaru and Toyota are willing to acknowledge our concerns and work with us, we would be more than willing to postpone any drastic measures.

The petition and the growing unrest among owners are clear indications that this issue cannot remain unaddressed. It is a sincere plea from a customer base that has long supported and believed in your brands. We urge you to reconsider your stance and engage with us in finding a mutually agreeable solution.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your prompt and positive response.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
