Government Response: Issue Now Being Raised in Parliament

Koeyma Eso to everyone who has supported and signed this petition so far.
Today, after sending a formal letter raising concerns about unsafe PTSS accommodation, I received a call within minutes from The Hon. Shannon Fentiman MP office's. A staff member confirmed that this issue will be raised directly with Hon. Shannon Fentiman on Thursday 2 July.
This is a significant step forward, it means:
- The issue is now being taken seriously at a government level.
- It has moved beyond internal processes into political oversight.
- There is now a pathway for further escalation to the Health Minister and Parliament.
- This progress shows that when we come together, we are heard.
We need to continue the push for:
- Safe, appropriate accommodation for patients and their caregivers,
- Accountability within Queensland Health; and more importantly
- Reform the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme (PTSS).
We need your help now more than ever so please keep sharing this petition and encourage others to sign and support.
If you or someone you know has had a similar experience, please reach out https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSffCrV3hKtU66pU6ebnUYWoe6Shj8Ffo4X_xB9a6Gelxzxasg/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=100495237561401054242
Together, we can ensure no other family is put in this situation.
Mina Big Eso again for your support.
