Hello everybody.
I just have sent this email to the GPHC, and I really wish that this petition can make a difference. Here is the test of the email:

Dear Sirs/Madams,

I am writing to ask about the possibility of re-evaluation of the current rule of English test requirements.
We, as Pharmacists, do agree with the importance of having the English skills in order to live and work as Pharmacists in the UK, however, the current rule of passing OET in its four subtests (reading, listening, writing, and speaking) in one set is extremely unfair and is exhausting all Pharmacists around the world. Therefore, we made a petition and 244 pharmacists willing to work in the UK signed and more Pharmacists will join this petition.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could reconsider in your next meeting the possibility of accepting the results of more than one set in both OET and IELTS, and the reason for that is that each one of us must pass each subtest (reading, listening, writing, and speaking) which will indicate a sufficient level proficiency to perform the work as a pharmacist; while, on the other hand, many of us have already tried the exam and maybe failed in one subset, which is normal due to the extreme pressure with time, financial issues, and stressful condition. As you know OET and IELTS are costly exams and it can happen that due to different circumstances any of us can fail in one subtest, which is normal because even in the university it is allowed to repeat a subject in case someone fails in it but there is no sense to repeat the subjects that already have been passed.

In view of the above, please consider accepting the combination of two or three attempts of OET or IELTS as a result of passing all four subsets, namely reading, listening, writing and speaking, so the Pharmacist can be registered with GPHC.
We are sure that your decision will be made for the benefit of Pharmacists that are willing to serve the UNITED Kingdom and be a part of the great NHS team.

Please see in the attachment, the name of the Pharmacists who signed this petition https://www.change.org/OET_FOR_GPHC_REGISTRATION .
We are looking forward to hearing from your council soon.

Yours faithfully
