Rainforests serve as Earth's respiratory system, providing habitat for more than half of the planet's species, and serving as ancestral territories for numerous Indigenous communities. Despite their vital importance, they are being rapidly destroyed, killing millions of animals and threatening biodiversity.

The World Wildlife Fund states that 46-58 thousand square miles of forest disappear annually, which is equal to 48 football fields every minute. The harmful effects of this deforestation include increased global warming, the loss of species, and the disturbance of forest-dependent communities' way of life.

We call on global leaders and international organizations to strengthen their actions in protecting our rainforests, and we encourage businesses to implement sustainable supply chain practices. This is not only a matter concerning the environment, but it is also an urgent crisis impacting everyone. 

We're running out of time. We see our world collapsing before us, unable to do anything because big politicians put world economical hierarchy above our future.
