Abolish the Mandatory Foreign Aid target. Spend OUR money at home
The Issue
This year the Government will spend £13.5bn on the Foreign Aid budget.
We believe that the 0.5% target should be abolished and our money spent at home.
Why are we using the Foreign Aid budget to pay for housing asylum seekers in hotels?
When we have homeless veterans sleeping on our streets, how can it be right to spend £13.5bn on Foreign Aid?
It is only a few years ago that Foreign Aid was being sent to Argentina at a time when they were arguing over the status of the Falkland Islands.
We were also sending money to India at a time when it had its own space programme.
Foreign Aid should only be used for natural disasters.
It should not be used for Housing asylum seekers or sending our money to countries which do not need it.
