Many students hate Sparx Maths because of how tedious it is to finish the homework questions and it's borderline insufferable. This is coming from a student who loves/loved maths but now despises it due to the sole existence of Sparx. Absolute joke of a learning website. Expecting everyone to get every question right is absolutely ludicrous, and the questions' support videos only overcomplicate the questions. The bookwork checks are hell on earth and Sparx should be banned, or AT LEAST permanently abolish the useless bookwork checks. The questions themselves are mostly mindf**ks that even some 6th-formers don't understand the questions. The comments suggesting that this app is “the root of their depression” are being melodramatic, and are overreacting. But it doesn’t take away from the fact that this is a poor system of teaching. This app is advertised as some kind of saving grace that makes work easier to keep track of, and makes learning more entertaining for children, but is misleading. We must make a change, and the abomination that is Sparx Maths must be removed now.
