I wanted to take a minute and give everyone an update on Alimony Reform in the State of New Jersey. We had hoped to get the “Blue Ribbon Commission” bill to study Alimony reform on the schedule for the NJ Senate Judiciary Committee this week, but unfortunately we were back doored by the NJ Family Section of the Bar Association. New Jersey politics have never been easy, but the Bar Association is playing unfair and unethical. I know no wants likes to hear “please donate”, but we are really in need of funds. The Bar Association in New Jersey is 40,000 members strong and has committed large budgets to PR and Public Relations firms to fight change in Alimony laws for reasons which are obvious. Our petitioners are more than 1400 strong now. If everyone could just donate $20 that would bring in $28,000 which could go towards hiring a PR and Lobbyist firm.
