Federal character is a practice that seems to impede on the growth of excellence and harvest of intelligentsia which has led to Nigeria's brain drain. 

The State and Local Government of origin as reflected on our documentation is a visible and pronounced official standard that has seemed to promote ethnicity and Division in Nigeria.  It is an inhibiting factor that threatens our unity .

I wish this would be replaced with place of birth which is the common practice globally.
