Questi animali straordinari, noti per la loro forza e resistenza, sono costretti a trasportare persone per ore sotto il sole cocente lungo i ripidi vicoli della cittadina. L'immagine di questi nobili animali stremati e sofferenti è motivo di grande dolore e riflessione, nonché pessimo biglietto da visita a livello internazionale, data la crescente sensibilità dell'opinione pubblica sul tema.

La routine a cui sono sottoposti è insostenibile e inaccettabile in una società che si definisce civile e rispettosa del benessere animale. 

La tutela del benessere degli animali non è solo una questione etica, ma è anche un obbligo verso le future generazioni. È tempo di cambiare e trovare soluzioni alternative più umane che possano offrire mezzi di trasporto sostenibili sia per i turisti che per gli abitanti di Lindos. Proponiamo l'adozione di veicoli elettrici leggeri che potrebbero offrire una valida alternativa, rispettando l'ambiente e preservando la salute degli asini.

We need to stop the suffering of donkeys used in Lindos, on the island of Rhodes, Greece. These extraordinary animals, known for their strength and endurance, are forced to carry people for hours under the scorching sun along the steep alleys of this town. The image of these noble animals exhausted and suffering is a source of great pain and reflection, as well as a poor international representation, given the growing public awareness on this issue.

The routine they are subjected to is unsustainable and unacceptable in a society that considers itself civilized and respectful of animal welfare. 

Protecting animal welfare is not only an ethical issue but also a duty towards future generations. It is time to change and find more humane alternative solutions that can provide sustainable transportation options for both tourists and residents of Lindos. We propose adopting lightweight electric vehicles that could offer a valid alternative, respecting the environment and preserving the health of the donkeys.

We strongly insist that the use of donkeys as a means of tourist transportation in Lindos be abolished. Every support is crucial to give a voice to these animals and end their suffering. We invite everyone to sign this petition and help create a positive change.
