During the last 10 days, we have had visits from units 1 hour away, 4 hours away and 5.5 hours away. It's heartbreaking. Poor Claire is terrified that she will be "sent away" and not have the chance to see us. After being home 252 times in 312 days, it's unbelievable how this can happen, and yet her wishes, our ours, don't seem to count for anything. Claire is pushing for a tribunal, and we are taking advice from a solicitor and barrister. She does so much with us, her parents, and her grandparents 72 and 77 respectively, who also take her out into Swansea city centre and for meals on their own. Her sister and I have taken her to 2 different A and E units recently, where she has coped really well with us. Next Sunday we are doing the Race for life with her, and she is also coming to the Swans v Villarreal game with us in August, plus plenty of other activities pre- planned, including the Lion king in Cardiff in November. WE JUST HOPE AND PRAY THAT SHE WILL STILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND THESE WITH HER FAMILY. We will keep you all updated, but please keep praying and hoping that Claire's voice and wishes are respected, and that she gets to continue the happy, family life that she loves. X
