AbbVie has released a media statement confirming pediatric release of citrate free Humira within the first six months of 2018. My contacts have stated May 1 is the date manufacturing has provided but the promised timeline is within six months. I hope this provides our children suffering with autoimmune illness slight reprieve from the struggles they face. I hope that it will lessen the anxiety, fear, and very real pain they experience while taking this necessary medication. I also hope that this provides hope to the parents who have agonized over administering Humira to their children. Thank you, AbbVie, for doing the right thing.
