Blessed Risings, everyone!

So much has taken place this year. The petition went global and viral this past January thanks to several music publications as well as blogs keeping the conversation going for Aaliyah to get inducted (Special THANKS: That GrapeJuice, NME Magazine, Vibe Magazine, Power 105.1/iHeart Radio, WBLS 107.5, HipHopDX, Okayplayer, Hip Hop Hero, Black Enterprise, Madame Noire, Hip Hop Crown Nation, 92Q (WQQK-Nashville), Music Times, V103, ADO Hip Hop & R’N’B). Forever thankful for the exposure and continued conversation. 

Aaliyah didn’t get nominated for this year’s induction class into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame but… Aaliyah did get nominated for induction into The National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame due to the petition reaching as many as people as it did; fans, music listeners & critics alike. Everyone from The National R&B Hall of Fame were so impressed with Team Aaliyah’s numbers approach for my petition that they were so gracious to  nominate her. Due to Aaliyah’s loyal and strong fan base, we voted for Aaliyah in the fan vote on the NRBHOF website between February & May 15th earning Aaliyah with the TOP FAN VOTE BY 30K+ VOTES! Aaliyah won the fan vote and ultimately secured her place as an INDUCTEE FOR THE 2023 CLASS OF THE NATIONAL RHYTHM & BLUES HALL OF FAME WHICH WILL BE HELD IN AALIYAH’S HOMETOWN OF DETROIT, MICHIGAN IN SEPTEMBER!

Very exciting for ALL Aaliyah fans across the world but we still got more work to do and we’re still gonna work this petition. My goal is to have well over 30K+ signatures for Aaliyah to get inducted into Rock Hall & it seems highly likely that Aaliyah will get a nomination for next year as long as we play our cards right! �
