I want to say thank you once again to everyone who has signed and shared the petition thus far. This petition is very near and dear to my heart, if only you all knew how much gratitude I have for the amount of love, support & awareness shown to Aaliyah and her musical legacy. I cannot thank everyone enough whom all have signed the petition thus far!

I am hoping to receive at least 1,000 signatures by the end of the summer but more importantly getting support from those who matter most: Rashad Haughton (Aaliyah’s brother), QuestLove from The Roots (A member on the nomination committee for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame), and Aaliyah’s colleagues/collaborators in music such as Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Ginuwine, Tank & many others.
