Yesterday the Council published details of the designs from the 5 shortlisted architects. They are now available to view online and at 4 drop in exhibitions in Clarendon Hall, York House. Please take a good look and Have Your Say on your likes and dislikes of each design (there's a very simple survey).
Drop-ins:
Thursday 5 September 2019, 12 to 8pm
Thursday 12 September 2019, 6 to 8.30pm
Saturday 21 September 2019, 10am to 5pm
Tuesday 24 September 2019, 6 to 8.30pm
We're not going to comment on the individual designs, other than to say that they're a very interesting mix of ideas and styles. Some definitely achieve our #parknotcarpark concept, with sympathetic development framing a central town square and riverside park, better than others.
We'll be very interested to hear your thoughts (please comment on this update or tweet us).
Note on Parking and Servicing: The Council have plans to relocate the street parking from The Embankment to other locations within the town centre. Servicing space is provided for EPI, and parking remains along the East end of The Embankment
