Electric bike hire was recently installed in Magenta. This is a great idea with the new cycleway being built, but for now cyclists don't have a safe way to join the cycleway. 

There are bike lanes along Wilfred Barrett Drive, but these are in an 80km zone, so many cyclists would prefer to be able to access the cycleway.

Many of the visitors to the Pullman Magenta resort are families with children, and the school holidays are the peak season. We believe that many families would want to cycle to The Entrance, and would only feel safe doing so if they could safely cross to the cycleway.
