Lest We Forget. How to honour our bravest today.
Nov 10, 2020 —
Today means so much to me, as I'm sure it means so much to you all. An opportunity to honour our very bravest men and women, who gave their all for this country.
This Remembrance Day, can you send this quick message to the politicians in Canberra? We can settle for nothing less than a full Royal Commission.
I am always proud of my son, but 11/11 is the day I know millions of other Australians are proud of David too. As they are proud of all the brave men and women no longer with us. Those we lost on distant battlefields, and those we lost here at home.
Every loss is a heartache felt by the entire nation. Every family touched by that loss never truly recovers. But today, and every day, we honour them.
Which is why we must never give up on those still fighting. The brave yet broken men and women who gave us their all. Still with us, still struggling.
Today, can you click here to send a quick email to your Australian Senators? Soon, they have the chance to vote down Mr Morrison's National Commissioner. I will be appearing in front of the Senate Inquiry, and I need every politician in Canberra to know we will settle for nothing less than a full Royal Commission into Veterans Suicide.
The email is pre-written. You can edit it, or just press send. It would mean the world to me to know you are with me in this fight.
Lest we forget.
Julie-Ann Finney, proud mother of Dave Stafford Finney.
