In a way that was typical of Adelle's caring, her resignation post (from her personal Facebook page) was all about us the patrons:

I resigned from the library yesterday, but this post is not about me it's about you. I want to thank you for coming through those doors for the past ten years. You shared your joys and happiness, your sorrow and troubles. You came there to say hi or meet with friends. You came for events, programs and books bringing your children, family and friends. Your love for the library was infectious and I was so glad to be there for all of you. You supported me as I hoped I supported you. I will miss seeing everyone, and meeting new. I wish you all the best in however life takes you through its twisty winding path. Please remember the library is just a building, but you brought the heart. Take care ~ Adelle
