Dear Patrons & Community Members –
I want to keep this clear, kind and to the point.
I am leaving the library today, in good conscience, alone.
I am truly grateful to have been able to serve such a great community of people.
My intention was to stay until the former director responds to the offer made by the library board, but I am not aligned with waiting for my fate any longer.
I am deeply saddened and concerned for the future of this important resource.
It feels only right to leave on my terms, after what has transpired here over the last two years. I love this place and leave peacefully today, having spoken my truth many times.
People are the heart of places like these.
They can be silenced. They can be thrown away.
But the lasting impact they make on the community, cannot.
Thank you to the patrons, community members, volunteers, and board members who fought so hard to have our voices be included. I see you and stand with you. And I appreciate all the years of dedication you have given the library.
With Love,
Nina Eve
