Natural Organic Reduction

Natural Organic Reduction (NOR) is the ecological process by which human remains are turned into nutrient-rich soil. Currently in the state of Michigan, NOR is not legally recognized as a permissible method of disposition after death.

A Petition to the Michigan Legislature

It’s time that Michigan residents are allowed the option of Natural Organic Reduction and are allowed the same dignity and respect in death that they had in life. It’s time we have the freedom to choose a method of disposition that aligns with our desires and our consciousness. We are simply asking that the option for NOR be available to us.

As a Michigan resident, I implore you, the lawmakers of Michigan, to take progressive steps in making this method a legal option, as other states have done in the past 6 years.
