Update on our “Slow Down and Move Over” Bill.

Yes it was tabled into NSW State Parliament but now the complicated parliamentary process of passing a new bill starts. I am in close contact with MP Jodi McKay and she has told me that it will be read a second time to allow debate before voting and hopefully passing. This may take a couple of more weeks but she assured me that she will call me as soon as she knows when it is happening and I will post an update. What I still need is examples of near misses that members of NSW emergency services experience or any situation that this new law would have help prevent. Every time I get an example I forward them to the MP Melinda Pavey, the Roads Minister and then also to both the Leader of the Opposition Luke Foley and MP Jodi McKay who is the opposition Roads Minister.
