The current FISD curriculum fails to mandate the awareness of financial literacy, which is contributing to debt-imprisioned students. According to a pre-survey done by our project, many did not even know of the pre-existing personal finance courses the school offered, like "Dollars and Sense" and others. Further, many stated they didn't receive any financial literacy outside of courses designed for it. Therefore, a majority of the FISD enrolled survey takers didn't feel confident that their current knowledge of finances is enough to navigate life after high school.

We believe that this issue can potentially be resolved by incorporating relevant finance skills and mandating this type of education. Help us uplift the future collegiate students by signing this petition and securing a brighter, debt-free future for our students.
