I am writing this letter to formally request an immediate and thorough review of my family's protracted and unjustifiable involvement with Child Protective Services (CPS), which has spanned over a sixteen-year period, from 2008 to the present. My most profound ambition has always been to be a mother to my children, a role I have been systematically and unjustly denied for nearly two decades due to a series of false allegations and what I believe to be a pattern of institutional harassment.

The repeated and baseless interventions by CPS have resulted in approximately sixteen separate cases being filed against me. The vast majority of these cases have been initiated despite my children not residing in my household, a fact which strongly suggests that the investigations have been driven by malicious intent rather than a legitimate concern for my children’s well-being. This protracted legal battle has caused profound emotional and mental distress, creating a continuous state of trauma and exhaustion for me and my family. The length and volume of this harassment warrants a professional and impartial investigation.

My current situation is marked by two critical issues that require immediate legal and judicial intervention:

Systemic Harassment and False Allegations: The contributing factor to this cycle of disempowerment began with a series of false accusations, and I now possess credible evidence to clear my name. However, for over a year, I have been unable to present this evidence, leaving a defamatory claim on my record that unjustly restricts my access to my children. I seek the opportunity to present this evidence in court and to formally request a full audit of my CPS case history to identify and rectify this pattern of institutional abuse.

Enforcement of Existing Court Orders: Despite existing court orders that grant me visitation rights, the fathers of my children have consistently and willfully failed to comply. The father of my youngest child, in conjunction with his mother, has deliberately withheld my son from me for a period of over two months. This is a direct and blatant violation of the court's decree. I am requesting the court to hold the parties accountable for their non-compliance and to enforce a clear, unambiguous visitation schedule that allows me to be present in my children's lives.

It's critical to emphasize the primary goal of CPS should be to genuinely protect and support children and families without prejudice or inefficiency.

We propose that Congress and state authorities institute comprehensive CPS reform. This includes mandatory training for CPS workers focusing on identifying real signs of abuse, fostering collaboration with families rather than confrontation, and ensuring accountability and transparency within the system.

Families should not have to live in fear of the organizations that are meant to protect them. Those who benefit from unchecked investigations must not vindicate personal vendettas at the expense of a child's welfare.
