For the past 27 years, a lonely brown bear named Bingo has languished in a small, barren concrete pit at the Dehiwala Zoo in Sri Lanka. Bingo has lived his entire adult life in this cramped, desolate enclosure - without a single companion to ease his isolation and suffering.

Bingo's story is a heartbreaking testament to the cruelty that can occur when animals are confined in substandard zoo conditions. Deprived of his natural habitat, denied the ability to engage in instinctive behaviors, and robbed of the companionship of his own kind, Bingo has endured a lifetime of deprivation and loneliness.

It's time to demand justice for Bingo and give him a chance at freedom. We call on the Sri Lankan government and relevant animal welfare organizations to urgently intervene and relocate Bingo to a proper sanctuary where he can live out his days in peace, surrounded by the natural environment and other bears.
