As an Iranian-Canadian citizen deeply connected to both my heritage and my community, I am launching this petition out of compassion not politics.
This is a plea for humanitarian support for the people of Iran, who are currently facing dire and worsening living conditions due to ongoing crises.

 

Millions of innocent civilians including children, the elderly, and those with medical needs are suffering from severe shortages in food, medicine, clean water, and electricity. Widespread internet disruptions and political unrest have left families cut off, disconnected, and struggling to survive. These hardships are not confined to borders. Many Iranian-Canadians are directly impacted, either trying to send aid to loved ones or relying on financial support from family members inside Iran a lifeline that has become increasingly unstable.

 

We are asking the Canadian government to take immediate, peaceful, and compassionate steps to assist civilians affected by this humanitarian crisis. These five actions will save lives and restore dignity:

What We’re Asking For

1- Emergency Humanitarian Assistance.

Provide urgent food aid, medical supplies, hygiene kits, and clean water through trusted international humanitarian organizations  with a focus on children, families in need, and those with health conditions.

2- Communication Access.
Enable free or subsidized international calling between Canada and Iran, so families can remain connected during blackouts, crises, or infrastructure failures.
3- Civilian Internet Access Tools.
Promote safe access to VPNs and encrypted communication platforms for Iranian civilians, ensuring they can access vital information and remain safely connected without political interference.

4- Diplomatic Civilian Protection.
Continue supporting UN investigations into civilian treatment and push for global humanitarian oversight to ensure the protection of innocent people under international law.
5- Financial Relief for Affected Families.
Provide temporary support for Iranian-Canadians who:

Are trying to send aid to family in Iran
Rely on financial support from family in Iran
This includes emergency credits, tax exemptions, or support grants during this crisis period.

 

This is not a political message.

This is a call for humanity, empathy, and action.

To those without a voice we speak.

To those with tied hands we extend ours.

Even small efforts can save lives.
