A HEARTFELT PETITION FROM A POOR COMMON PILIPINO CITIZEN WORLDWIDE CALLING FOR THE EXPULSION OF PHILIPPINE SENATOR LOREN LEGARDA

WHEREAS, It is stated in Article 114 of the Revised Penal Code clearly defines 'TREASON' as an act by "any Filipino citizen who levies war against the Philippines or adheres to her enemies, giving them aid or comfort within the Philippines or elsewhere, shall be punished by 'reclusion perpetua' to death and shall pay a fine not to exceed 4 million pesos."

WHEREAS, the blood of thousands of soldiers, policemen, ordinary men, women and children who died in the hands of these communists/terrorists - is now in Senator Legarda's hands.

NTF-ELCAC Statement

WHEREAS, WE, the Filipino people, do not share the objectives, vision, and dreams of the CPP-NPA-NDF for our country.

WHEREAS, Our democratic and republican form of government, as well as our constitution and our laws share nothing in common with the CPP-NPA-NDF. 

WHEREAS, Senator Legarda has personal biases favoring the CPP-NPA-NDF and their allied front organizations as the collective manifestation of will by the Filipino people.

WHEREAS, the CPP-NPA-NDF is a designated terrorist organization, not only in our country, but in several other countries. 

WHEREAS, she is feigning ignorance on this matter and it will not cushion the impact of her open admission of support to the CPP-NPA-NDF, a designated terrorist organization.

WHEREAS, she stripped bare of its flowery semantics and attempts to water down the very obvious manifestation of solidarity with the CPP-NPA-NDF. She is basically saying that the CPP-NPA-NDF and its allied front organizations believe in social justice and has uplifted the people from poverty for decades without bearing arms.

WHEREAS, the CPP-NPA-NDF is a terrorist organization. 

WHEREAS, the atrocities committed by this terrorist organization has caused untold misery, suffering, economic loss, and senseless death for decades. We believe that she know this unless she find these acts consistent with the CPP-NPA-NDF's definition of "social justice".

WHEREAS, this is not the social justice that we want to give to our people.

WHEREAS, her sugar coated pronouncements basically tell us that she didn't consider the CPP-NPA-NDF terrorist organization as an enemy of the state.

WHEREAS, If the CPP-NPA-NDF is not an enemy of the state, then, please be informed that the government of the Republic of the Philippines consider them as enemies not only of the State but of the Filipino people. 

WHEREAS, the military establishment that she said she is proud to be a member of also considers the CPP-NPA-NDF as the enemy of the peace and security of this country. 

WHEREAS, the CPP-NPA-NDF is responsible for the deaths and injuries to thousands of our colleagues in the armed services of this country. 

 

WHEREAS, to openly declare that the CPP-NPA-NDF is not an enemy of the State is to dishonor the memory of and the sacrifices of our brave men and women who have offered their lives in our country's fight to attain a just and lasting peace by ending the CPP-NPA-NDF terrorist organization.

 

WHEREAS, We do not apologize for labeling the CPP-NPA-NDF as a terrorist organization. 

WHEREAS, history has judged the CPP-NPA-NDF as one of the most prolific and most devious criminal organizations ever to sow terror on a nationwide scale. The list of crimes and their innocent victims span across half a century. The deception and its web of lies still rear its ugly head even until today. The extent of its allies and network of supporters never fail to amaze us. 

WHEREAS, as the CPP-NPA-NDF marches on toward the twilight, it desperately tries to grasp at straws, forcing their few remaining allies to surface and hasten to its aid. 

WHEREAS, you, Senator Loren Legarda may have been forced by circumstance to reveal the last cards you hold close to your chest.  Now, you want the anti-terror law to be reviewed. And for whose benefit Senator Legarda? For the CPP-NPA-NDF whom you said you admired many because you have worked with them in the past? 

WHEREAS, If that's the case Senator Legarda, we remind you, the CPP-NPA-NDF is the enemy of the state and of the Filipino people. 

WHEREAS, otherwise stated, do you want the anti- terror law reviewed for the sake of the enemies of the State? That would be inimical to the State.

WHEREAS, that would be a Betrayal of Public Trust and your oath of office.

WHEREAS, your proposal to review the anti-terror law is definitely not for the good of the Filipino people. At some point in your political career Senator Legarda, you must make that most difficult choice of doing what is right at the expense of trying to please everyone. 

WHEREAS, the war on terror does not allow public servants like us the convenience of remaining neutral. It's either we lead the war against terror. Or, be willing enablers of terrorism by alliance or by apathy, that is, by simply doing nothing.

NOW THEREFORE, “ALL THE ABOVE-MENTIONED FACTS AND THIS LATEST PRONOUNCEMENT OF SEN LOREN LEGARDA INSIDE THE AUGUST HALL OF THE SENATE IS TANTAMOUNT TO AN ADMISSION OF GUILT AND TREASON - THE CRIME OF SHOWING NO LOYALTY TO OUR BELOVED COUNTRY, ESPECIALLY BY HELPING ITS ENEMIES IN OVERTHROWING THE GOVERNMENT AND LET HER SUFFER THE SAME FATE AND WE ALL CALL FOR HER IMMEDIATE EXPULSION FROM THE SENATE.

RESOLVED, THAT WE DID THIS CALL FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR CHILDREN, THE NEXT GENERATION OF PILIPINO FOR LASTING PEACE AND ORDER OF OUR BELOVED COUNTRY AND HEEDING THE PLEA OF NO LESS THAN OUR VICE PRESIDENT INDAY SARA ZIMMERMAN DUTERTE - CARPIO SIGNIFYING "NO MERCY POLICY TO ALL CRIMINALS AND TERRORISTS" THE ENEMIES OF THE STATE.

RESOLVED FURTHER, THAT WE HEREBY VOLUNTARILY AFFIXED OUR FULL NAME AS OUR NOBLE DUTY AS A PILIPINO CITIZEN AND TO JUSTIFY THE VERACITY OF THIS HISTORIC ONLINE PETITION AND TO FORWARD THIS PETITION TO HON. MIGUEL ZUBIRI, THE SENATE PRESIDENT AND HIS EXCELLENCY FERDINAND ROMUALDEZ MARCOS JR., PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND FOR BEING THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF HOPING AND PRAYING FOR THEIR IMMEDIATE APPROPRIATE ACTION.
