A quick factual update to share what has now been formally confirmed through recent Freedom of Information responses.
Policing
An Internal Review decision from An Garda Síochána (January 2026) confirms that:
Donabate is not included in the current Garda Capital Investment Programme, and there are no releasable administrative, capital planning or feasibility records relating to a Garda station for the town.
Transport
Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has released a substantial set of records covering road safety and traffic assessments around Donabate and its access routes. These focus on individual junctions and the strategic road network, with no single, town-level assessment of access resilience for the peninsula.
Other FOI requests (education, healthcare, emergency response and water infrastructure) are still ongoing. I’ll continue to share confirmed information as it becomes available.
Thank you again for the support!
