Thank you again to everyone who has signed and supported this petition.
I wanted to share a short update on where things stand now.
Since the last update, the information gathered through FOI requests, official replies and planning documents has been formally shared with all local TDs and councillors. This means the concerns raised in this petition are now being dealt with through official and accountable channels, rather than informal correspondence.
We can also confirm that Parliamentary Questions will now be submitted to the relevant Ministers to seek clear, on-the-record answers about essential services for Donabate and Portrane, including healthcare, schools, transport, policing and other infrastructure. These replies are important, as they put responsibility and timelines on the public record.
In parallel, FOI requests and evidence gathering are continuing so that any responses can be assessed against facts, timelines and responsibilities, not assumptions.
The aim of this petition remains the same: to ensure that as Donabate and Portrane continue to grow, essential services are planned and delivered in step, with transparency and coordination across agencies.
There is nothing further needed from petition signatories right now, your support has already helped move this work into formal processes.
Further updates will be shared here as Parliamentary Question replies and FOI responses come back.
Thank you again for engaging so constructively and patiently.
More updates soon.
