In Ballina, we are so lucky to have the Compton drive dog off leash area with a bush setting for use by dog owners. But there is one problem - the area is NOT fully fenced. 

We urge Ballina Council  to follow what many other Councils in other cities do. Please provide a secure, fully enclosed area for our dogs to run and play safely. All that is required is to extend the existing fencing to provide a fully-fenced enclosure. This will:

•  Keep our Dogs Safe and away from traffic, the scrubby hillside (snakes) and other dangers.
•  Encourage Play & Exercise and give our dogs the freedom to run and socialize.
•  Provided Peace of Mind for Owners while we relax knowing our dogs are in a secure space.
