Hello Supporters!

I want to first thank you all for signing Channen Smith's petition so that we can try to get him a new evidentiary hearing to show the new evidence that proves his innocence for the crime he is serving a life plus 20 year sentence for!

The second reason I'm reaching out today is because Channen's team has set up a donation platform to raise legal funds to help pay for Channen's legal fees and other associated costs.

Since Channen has exhausted all state options at this point and the court of criminal appeals denied a new hearing, he is now at the point of having to file a writ of federal habeas corpus to try to get the federal court to review the case and the new evidence. He will need an attorney for this process.

Our goal is to raise $10,000. This will likely not cover all his legal fees, but it's a great start! It doesn't take huge donations to reach this goal, either! If every person who signed this petition donated just $10, we would beat that goal!
