On June 1, 2024, 17-year-old Clayton Emerson was killed in a crash in Gainesville, FL. The driver who caused the crash was never given a toxicology test. Florida leaves law leaves that decision to the responding officer's discretion, a gap that denies families answers and justice.

We need you help to change this.

Please contact you state lawmakers today and ask them to support Clayton's Law, which would require toxicology testing when two clear triggers are met:

  1.  A fatality occurs, and
  2.  A citation is issued to the surviving driver

Take action now: Call or email your state senator and representative. Tell them that you support Clayton's Law and want Florida to close this dangerous loophole.

Together, we can make sure no other family has to beg for answers after losing their loved one.
