Dear Kashmir,
I am writing here following some introspection into the issues. I know many of you do not believe in the UNHRC but it's vital that each person in Kashmir believes that the key to win against India is to keep on raising your voice with the UNHRC.
India fears the people of Kashmir which is why it seeks to suppress every civilian. It also seems to silence those of us who have tried to assist.
Having observed all parties in this situation, I think each has their own agenda. It is no longer adequate for Kashmir to be placed in the "victim" role. I fear Pakistan has tried to do this. Moral support is no longer good enough anymore. There has to be diplomatic action. I've supported Pakistan in the hope they would be practical about resolving the Kashmir conflict. That was never forth coming. Pakistan has sacrificed a lot for their support for Kashmir. No one's denying that. I have though realised that Pakistan just doesn't have it in them to be more proactive. They have one record, played at each UNGA meeting that is supported by the separatists in Kashmir. It's been 70 years by the way of this repeated record.
It's why I think it's important for civilians to keep writing to the UNHRC to demand an inquiry, to demand a referral to the ICJ, to demand a referral to the International Criminal Courts. I've always said, when authorities fail us all, we only have ourselves to rely on.
I'm therefore asking you all to keep reporting and keep demanding your rights - through the media but through thousands of emails to the UNHRC

Share it widely. Raise your voice and don't give up. Kashmir needs to see justice, it needs to see accountability and it needs to see results. You aren't going to get this by relying on Pakistan, on the separatists or politicians. Please rely on yourselves and speak out to the UNHRC. If India bans the UNHRC from entering Kashmir, you must take Kashmir to the UNHRC.
It really doesn't matter what you all think of us campaigners. What matters most is that you believe that mass people power can achieve change. The UNHRC is on your side, write to them and make it easier for them to take Kashmiris into freedom.
www.kashmirhumanrights.com wasn't irrelevant. It was the first step to fighting India, the correct way - non violently and with evidence. It's why India's rage has been self evident against this and those of us who mass reported. Please believe in your own individual ability to make the change.
Regards
Dr Rita Pal
