The Issue

My father has suffered years of life-threatening mistreatment and neglect while under the care and supervision of authorities who were supposed to protect him. Despite multiple reports, evidence, and witness accounts, no meaningful action has been taken to safeguard his well-being.

He has sustained repeated, unexplained injuries — including serious head wounds which hospital doctors warned could be fatal if it happened again. I have photo and video evidence showing clear abuse and neglect, yet every attempt to seek help has been met with silence, excuses, or cover-ups.

My father cries for help and speaks for himself, but his voice is continuously ignored. I have also been assaulted and intimidated for trying to protect him by the authorities. I will not give up — not on my father, and not on the countless other elderly and vulnerable people being abused behind closed doors, in situations known to the authorities in these homes.

This is happening here in the UK, South Yorkshire - my father has been moved between multiple care homes under local authority supervision, after serious abuse disclosures with evidence. He has even been taken out of Sheffield, the city where he has always lived. What's happening to him could happen to anyone's parent or grandparent. It's not a distant problem; it's happening in our own communities behind closed doors.

My father is now being forced to live in a third care home, far away from his loving family and against his wishes. He wants to come home, but his voice has been ignored again by the authorities, who claim to know what's best for him. This isolation has broken both his spirit and mine. Families like ours are not abandoning their loved ones - we are being shut out by the very system that is supposed to protect them.

Despite numerous Local Authority “safeguarding investigations” and a Police investigation, there has been no outcome — only silence. Instead, I have been scapegoated, harassed, and faced legal threats for reporting the abuse of my father.

There must also be stronger national standards for staff vetting and background checks across all care settings - ensuring that no individual with a history of abuse, neglect, or misconduct can ever work with vulnerable adults again.

I want to publicly name the authorities and care homes responsible, but I am currently being silenced and legally threatened for speaking the truth. When I am able to do so safely and lawfully, I will.

My father depends on others for his safety, dignity, and care — and those entrusted with his protection have failed him.

This petition is not only for my father, but for every elderly and vulnerable person who is mistreated behind closed doors. Too many families are suffering in silence while those responsible face no accountability.

I am calling for:

-An end to my father's abuse and his basic rights and freedoms restored with his abusers being held accountable and investigated, instead of being able to control my father's life with continued access to him, leaving him at heightened risk.
- An independent investigation into the ongoing neglect and abuse of vulnerable adults in care homes and hospitals.
- Legal protection for family whistle-blowers who report abuse.
- Stricter oversight and transparency in safeguarding investigations and legal proceedings, including those involving vulnerable adults and minors, where families are silenced or excluded from decisions regarding their loved ones.

Please stand with me to demand justice and protection for those who cannot defend themselves. Together, we can ensure that no one’s parent, grandparent, or loved one is ever treated this way again.

Please support me in saving my father's life before it is to late. The system and people fail to understand what is being done to my father and countless others is the standard being set by the government and authorities. This means this could happen to any of us including those in power. Your money and property will not save you, only genuine loved ones and the good people in our society whom are willing to stand against any injustices. Support me and others alike to ensure my father's voice and tears are acknowledged and that he does not continue to suffer in isolated pain being silenced.

Every signature gives a voice to the voiceless and those suffering in silence, afraid.

For legal reasons, I cannot yet share names — but I will not stop until the truth is exposed.

Photographic Evidence (Descriptions):

The following images show the reality of the neglect and harm my father has endured:

1. Image 1: My father’s legs showing severe weight loss and frailty after being denied adequate food and insulin, despite being diabetic. He repeatedly told hospital staff and Police he was being starved and in pain — both ignored him.

2. Image 2: A head wound sustained while in a care home. Staff claimed he “did it to himself,” though he could not stand or walk unaided. A consultant later warned that further injuries like this could be fatal.

3. Image 3: My father, with a spinal fracture which is another unexplained injury, occuring in the the first care home known for rampant abuse where he was placed by the local authorities. My father on this occasion had been transported in a standard wheelchair instead of a stretcher ordered by the second care home despite being unable to sit upright causing him severe pain due to the spinal fracture. Paramedics were so concerned for his safety that they aborted the journey until a stretcher could be provided.

Despite this clear evidence and much more, no meaningful safeguarding action has been taken. This is no longer a safeguarding matter it is clear intentional systemic abuse, neglect and isolation inflicted upon him and others family members. My father's life continues to be controlled and endangered by the local authorities.

I thank you deeply for reading, sharing and signing. Thank you to those who have contributed to this urgent petition. I am very grateful and touched by all.
