Subject: Traffic and infrastructure intervention for the Kannamangala-Seegehalli–Kadugodi–Whitefield corridor
Respected Sir/Madam,
We, the undersigned residents of Kannamangala, Seegehalli, Kadugodi and surrounding areas, respectfully seek your intervention regarding the severe and rapidly worsening traffic conditions on the Seegehalli–Kadugodi–Whitefield corridor.
The situation is already critical. During peak hours, a journey of barely 4–5 km can take 45–60 minutes. The attached photographs show the present ground reality—vehicles occupying virtually the entire available carriageway, severe bottlenecks and little room for emergency movement.
The larger concern: this area is still growing Seegehalli–Kannamangala has witnessed extraordinary residential expansion since 2018. Our indicative assessment places the residential population of the immediate catchment at approximately 40,000–50,000 today, with continued development potentially taking it substantially higher over the next five years.

Our request:
We respectfully request the concerned authorities to undertake a joint peak-hour traffic and infrastructure assessment of this corridor and formulate immediate, medium-term and long-term measures, including:
1. Better traffic deployment, lane discipline, junction management and signal optimisation;
2. Removal/management of critical bottlenecks and unsafe roadside obstruction;
3. Safe and reliable passage for ambulances, school buses and emergency vehicles;
4. Assessment of the Kadugodi bridge/approach roads and other capacity constraints; and
5. A forward-looking infrastructure plan considering the thousands of additional homes already under construction or planned.
We are not seeking to prescribe whether the solution should be road widening, junction redesign, flyovers, underpasses, public-transport improvements or other engineering measures. We respectfully request the competent authorities to assess the corridor comprehensively and act before the next wave of residential occupancy makes an already difficult situation considerably worse.
We request your kind intervention and a coordinated site assessment at the earliest.
