With less than 4 weeks to go to for our Missing Link Active Travel convoy to celebrate the historic local rugby derby on Saturday 25th November we will depart from Gowerton Surgery Car Park.

As it can be a little difficult exiting Gowerton Rugby Club we decided to change depart location. To ensure everyone arrives in time to purchase a refreshment before kick-off our Walking Group will depart at 1pm (estimated 1.20minutes) and our Cycling Group will depart 1.50pm (estimated 30minutes). To encourage a fun event we think FANCY DRESS is a must, so colourful & bold costumes will add to this fun local celebration. Of course, it’s entirely your choice!! All ages and abilities are welcome. 

The hope by highlighting the poor footway between Gowerton and Penclawdd we can urge Swansea Local Authority to ensure the necessary improvements are completed so all users can safely travel between both villages and beyond whether that be a mobility scooter, a bicycle, by walking or other active travel means.

We will be following in the footsteps of our forebearers on this well beaten footway to celebrate this annual local derby. To capture this event, we will be taking loads of photos so fingers crossed the weather will be kind!!
