I’ve taken a crucial step forward by applying for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. This journey began when I respectfully requested a judge to recuse themselves from my case due to unconscious bias identified in my November 13 and December 19, 2024, court proceedings. When that request was denied, I appealed to the Manitoba Court of Appeal. I uncovered factual errors and overlooked conflicts in the outcome of my denied appeal that demand attention, so I have taken this matter to the Supreme Court of Canada.
This recusal appeal is not just about my case; it’s about highlighting systemic issues that affect countless individuals facing workplace injustices. Too often, complaints like this are dismissed or ignored, leaving voices unheard.
This is a pressing problem for anyone who has sought justice through the Labour Board, been dismissed, and encountered serious issues in seeking Judicial Review of a Labour Board decision, especially if they are self-represented persons and not by choice.
