A Call to Action: Justice and Protection Against Sexual Violence Under Islamic Law

A Call to Action: Justice and Protection Against Sexual Violence Under Islamic Law
The Issue
We, the concerned citizens of Pakistan, are deeply disturbed by the recent case of sexual violence committed against an innocent girl. This heinous crime is a blatant violation of human dignity and Islamic principles, prompting us to demand swift and decisive action.
Our Demands:
• Enforce Islamic Law: Strict enforcement of Sharia law in sexual violence cases, ensuring swift and just punishment for the guilty, with no leniency for criminals.
• Protect Citizens: Strengthen legal frameworks, campus safety, and social support to safeguard all citizens, particularly women.
• Uphold Islamic Principles: Authorities must commit to transparency and accountability in handling criminal cases.
• Nationwide Awareness: Launch campaigns promoting respect, and Islamic values of justice and dignity.
United for Justice:
We urge the government and judicial system to respond promptly, taking necessary steps to safeguard citizens and restore faith in the law. Let's unite as a nation, upholding Islamic values and principles of justice, ensuring no citizen feels unsafe.
As Allah says in Surah An-Nisa (4:135), "O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives."
Key Statistics:
• Every 2 hours, a woman is raped in Pakistan (Source: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, 2020).
• 93% of women in Pakistan experience some form of sexual violence (Source: Human Rights Watch, 2022).
• Only 2% of rape cases in Pakistan result in convictions (Source: Justice Project Pakistan, 2020).
Join the Movement:
Sign this petition to demand justice and protection for victims of sexual violence in Pakistan. Together, we can create a safer, more just society for all.
