The IUSF convener was released on February 1st,  2023.  The court has declared that no supportive evidence was linked to allegations, including terrorism.

The Sri Lankan government has been detaining activists using abusive power enclosed under the prevention of terrorism act (PTA). Human Rights Council has urged the Sri Lankan government to ban the PTA act. However, the  Ranil-Rajapaksha junta used the PTA  to oppress the people's movement. Ranil-Rajapaksha regime has many allegations leading the country to a bankrupt state.
