Dear Sir ,

As was our fear, the builder has slowly started encroaching on Pocket D in Sector 60, Nerul, Navi Mumbai like last time in October 2017 when the work was immediately stopped by the Wetlands Committee.

This is being done despite Wetlands Committee instructions to CIDCO to maintain status quo on waterbody in the meeting held on 21st December 2017 as well as instructions of Environment minister in meeting held on 27th January 2020 and supreme court directives.

Steady encroachment into the water body is daily happening and so the coastline is shifting into the wetlands. All this is happening from inside the plot, by Mistry constructions.

Enclosed is a video taken yesterday evening at 6.50 PM. In the video, it can be seen that a line is being made with debris n slowly filling happening. The security personnel of Mistry Construction are doing this, so as to avoid being noticed.

Debris is being laid in the line , so probably planning to cover up from left , into the wetlands.

Also attached are the photos taken today showing how the coastline is being filled up. Pockets of water body are being steadily covered.

We urge you to take up the matter very urgently to prevent any further encroachment. Ask builder to remove the fencing and place guards so that this doesn't happen further.

Also ask for removal of debris to restore the water body.

If action is not taken immediately we will be forced to complain to court for contempt of there orders.
