Flamingo is the most awaited migratory bird in our city. India is home to two types of flamingos from a total of 6 recognized species around the world – Greater Flamingo and Lesser Flamingo. Wandering Souls does not want you to miss this yearly phenomenon and there we are organizing a trail for you at Navi Mumbai. With High tide timing of 9:23 AM, we have perfect chance to witness the glorious migratory birds on Sunday Morning. This may be last best chance to experience the same before the monsoon is in full swing. The area is rich in biodiversity, has reserved mangrove forests and is the habitat of many bird species(80+) including migratory birds like flamingos. Its biodiversity / marine life has been studied by Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) and TERI who have issued various reports recommending that the area’s biodiversity be preserved. We will be visiting Talawe or Chanakya wetlands for a Photo walk and Nature trail depending on where we expect more birds at the moment. We will also be trying to arrange experts(photography/birding/ nature) for the event depending on the registrations we get for the event. The event is open to all photographers( amateurs or professionals), birding enthusiasts, environment enthusiasts or people who just want to enjoy a nice time in in the lap of mother nature. DETAILS: Date: 10th June, Sunday Time: 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. Kindly report 15 minutes before the start time to avoid delays. Cost: FREE Entry Age Limit: Open to all!
