We're making progress! Our man in South Africa spent a day or two at the Atherstone Nature Reserve and had a long conversation with the decision maker there, Johan Kruger. We're lining things up to move these 80 elephants to safety because, if they are not moved, they will be culled. In other words, they will be shot dead. But we don't have everything in place by a long shot and there is much work to do. While we have encouraging words from the country that will receive them, we must identify the precise location there. We're waiting on a response about this issue. After receiving approval of the exact location, we must conduct an on the ground inspection to ensure their new home will have the needed water, plenty of food sources and be safe. We are not too concerned with poachers for this area is guarded by the local army and no hunting is allowed. Of course, we must raise at least $150,000. So, will you please make a generous donation today to help save these elephants? And receive the best updates by signing up for our newsletter at ElephantRescue.net
