When GOAL launched the Syria #NowYouKnow campaign in August, a staggering 12.2 million people in Syria were in need of humanitarian assistance.

The figure is now 13.5 million.

To escape the daily bombardment of their towns and cities, at least 800,000 Syrian people have fled for Europe.

More than 3,000 of them have perished at sea.

8 children a day were killed in this conflict in May 2014.
