Labor Day Weekend Update:
We found a paralegal to draft the necessary paperwork for Baron to print, sign and file to STOP Bentley from being put down on Tuesday 9/6/22.
Baron has also talked to the ADA Tom Swink and he advised that as long as the paperwork was filed he would make all appropriate calls to let them know Bentley is NOT to be put down on Tuesday. He was also going to reach out to the judge and find out if Baron can have more time with Bentley as well as his own time with him (unchaperoned). We have not heard back on this yet, but are hopeful that Tuesday Baron will receive that phone call.
I want you to all know that things keep changing very quickly and one moment it might seem that all possibilities have been exhausted and we've lost the fight and in the next moment, we are back and going full throttle once again.
We've slowly began to gain momentum here and some animal advocates have reached out and are beginning to do what they do best. They feel confident that based on the information at hand, Bentley will be able to come home and we are hopeful once more.
We want to thank everyone who is signing, sharing, reposting and just along for the Bentley crazy train at this time. We are beyond grateful and while all we have is "THANK YOU" it feels inadequate.
What's happening to Bentley isn't fair. It isn't right. And sadly, it isn't original. There are so many other dogs in his position and it's extremely sad and overwhelming.
I will see Bentley Monday and hope I have only good things to update with after seeing him then.
