As an advocate, I constantly reassess how to help positive change.

I was reminded today of many things, and learned some new things, too. 

I drained my energy trying to help. 

When I was a counselor for children in Salinas, the number one rule was, “Meet people where they are.”

I took the day to remind myself why I am so passionate about finding solutions. Jax. My beloved dog that rescued me. 

18 years together.

She died in my arms 3 years ago.

The greatest gift in my life was Jax.
