Hi,
Thank you all for signing, for donating and sharing. Please continue to copy and paste to share- I know it’s a pain but I didn’t know if the pitfalls of this platform when I wrote this- my first petition.
I have a little blurb I copy and Katre when I send it to people.. I tell them not to feel obliged to donate to sign and share.
i understand change.org needs money. But I do think fir first time signers it may be confusing.
Someone also write me and told me that there were typos in the petition: I apologize for this as well, I spell checked it etc.. and ran it by my son but apparently I missed a few things. I don’t think it detracts from the intent if the petition though, and I also don’t think it’s ethical to change a document that people have signed.. which I think is what the person “with no opinion” that complained to me was trying to do. He wrote that It was not “A professional petition”. I responded to him,”Well, I’m not a profesional petition writer.. but I guarantee you that no one can out-debate me on this..”.
And the truth is, without being egotistical,.. I’ll go toe to toe with anybody in this country on this matter- and win.. because I’m looking at safety first.. for all: and you can’t beat that. So, if I end up defending the points I. This petition verbally in front of an audience.. I feel safe in telling you I will honor your commitment and signature to what I’ve written here within and make our voices well heard on this issue.
please share as much as you can.
we’re all feeling a lot if things I imagine: anger, fear, uncertainty., So are our leaders, they need our input to feel confident in making the right decision. They all know.. school shouldn’t be starting in these conditions. They just aren’t used to going against he easy money. They aren’t used to making the right decision..
The right decision here is for safety, and fir developing an adequate response as a nation to a pandemic. Sadly, I don’t think this is the last virus of this type that we’ll be facing in our lifetimes.. So mows the time to get it right: money for people. Money for testing, and for a great contact tracing system.. more money to investigate and prevent new viruses..
And.. as the nation is learning now: more money and respect for education, school systems and teachers.
thanks again.
Nick
