LOGAN — A 25-year-old Logan man has been sentenced to jail for 60-days, after previously pleading guilty to molesting two girls. David C. Jackson was also ordered to register as a sex-offender for 10-years and have no contact with the young victims or their family.

Jackson was sentenced in 1st District Court Monday afternoon. He previously pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted forcible sex abuse, amended to a third-degree felony.

Judge Kevin Allen told Jackson that what he did was abhorrent. He explained that there were varying degrees of abuse and that it didn’t serve the community or the victims to commit the defendant to a long jail sentence.

Judge Allen ordered Jackson to be taken to jail immediately to begin his sentence. He also refused to give him credit for any time already severed.
