So, it turns out that Apu being removed from the show, something that actually made headlines, isn't going to happen.

It turns out that it all stems from someone who doesn't speak for the show, and somehow it got spun so far out of proportion that outlets both mainstream and non-mainstream picked it up and believed it.

Funny thing is, it's not hard to believe given today's social climate.

I would have loved to see how far this petition could have gone...and honestly, I was half tempted to leave it go to see if we could get a few thousand people just to show Fox that they shouldn't bow to identity politics, but that would be dishonest and beyond the scope of the petition.

I have no doubt that the person that started all of this will continue to try to axe our beloved convenience store manager, so if this spectre raises its head again expect another petition.

To the hundred and forty four people that signed this petition, thank you very much.  It may not seem like much, but every voice counts in this sort of thing.
