2 Hour Delay on February 13th after Super Bowl at NPSD. Update: (UNSUCCESSFUL)

2 Hour Delay on February 13th after Super Bowl at NPSD. Update: (UNSUCCESSFUL)
The Issue
Update, I have been in contact with Dr. Bauer, (North Penn School District Superintendent), and the 2-hour delay will unfortunately not be able to happen. With the permission from Dr. Bauer, his full response is: “Good evening, Benjamin. As much as I appreciate your efforts, we will not be having a two-hour delay. I am a huge Eagles fan and sincerely looking forward to the game, but I am not interested in prioritizing a football game over education, especially given that the football game ends around 10. Additionally, please keep in mind that many of the parents of younger students do need to get to work and this would cause a child care issue for them. At the Montgomery County Superintendents' meeting yesterday, 4 of the 25 superintendents said they will be having a delay.
All said, each parent has the right to make their own decision. If your parent(s) thinks it's best to sleep in for two hours, please be sure to bring in a note!
Go Eagles,
Dr. Bauer”
I want to end this off by giving a big thank you to everyone that has signed this petition and shared the message. Have a nice and safe weekend.

The Super Bowl is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year, and it is a time for people of all ages to come together and celebrate. It is a time for friends and family to gather and cheer on their favorite teams. It is also a time for students to stay up late and enjoy the festivities.
Unfortunately, the late night festivities often mean that students are not able to get enough sleep the night before school. This can lead to students being tired and unfocused in class, which can have a negative impact on their academic performance.
We believe that a two-hour delay for school the day after the Super Bowl would be beneficial for students, parents, and faculty alike. It would give students the opportunity to get the rest they need in order to be alert and focused in class. It would also give parents the opportunity to spend more time with their children and enjoy the festivities of the Super Bowl.
All school districts around us have off and we only feel right that we join them.
