Hi everyone,

A quick update from last nights council meeting and a big shout out for every single one of you who has supported this issue to date. Everyone who has signed the petition, written to councillors with their concerns, no matter how big or small, the 40 who showed up on the night and the 7 who spoke at the meeting - we are truely grateful and fully realise the power and potential of community activism. 

We are thrilled to now have council support. Common sense prevailed and issues such as neighbourhood character, bulk of building, setback, permeability, lack of landscaping and crossovers were raised.The proposal was rejected by a majority vote.

It's not over yet though. The applicant now has 60 days to lodge an appeal at VCAT. This is where the fun begins.
